Rescue Ramble is a fun way of fundraising for the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team! It takes place on Saturday 9th September 2017.
It is a personal challenge walking and running event for everyone to take part in whilst enjoying the scenery and raising money for a good cause. The event offers a choice of distances, terrain and difficulty.
The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation relying totally on public donations for funding. As well as our main Mountain Rescue duties searching for and assisting people in difficulty on the surrounding hills and moors, many of our call outs involve assisting the ambulance and fire services recover casualties from difficult or remote locations or during severe weather conditions and assisting the Police in urban searches for missing persons. All the money raised by this event will go directly to the team.
